FXO inbound/outbound policy


With connecting the FXO interface of MPES-4 to legacy
PBX, MPES-4 not only allows the users to place inbound/outbound
calls but also let the administrator manage all incoming
and outgoing call numbers.
For example, while Peter has gone abroad in business,
he has something important to discuss with colleagues
locating at headquarters or business partners locating
at homeland.
Because of the international telephone rate is higher
nowadays, what about the better calling plan is available?
In this case, the administrator just need to enter
the FXO Outbound policy page and add Peter's FreePP
softphone ID as allow
action into the FreePP ID list. Peter will be able
to place calls through FreePP Softphone to anyone
in homeland and enjoy the advanced voice quality.
Furthermore importantly, MPES-4 will help the enterprise
customer to reduce the telephone cost effectively.
For detailed usage:
1. Dial with MPES-4's FreePP ID on FreePP Softphone.
2. After hearing the dial tone, Peter can
3a. Dial the extension number to reach colleagues.
3b. Dial the landline number to anyone in homeland.
In addition, the administrator can save or restore
the configuration file of FXO inbound/outbound policy
in Web UI.
If you are on the demand for extending larger voice
channel capacities, you can refer to another product
"MPES-PRI"
which supports 23(T1)/30(E1) voice channels of ISDN
PRI.

Call forwarding

Call forwarding is a useful feature to allow users
transferring the incoming calls to any landline or
FreePP number. This feature will bring enterprise
customers the edge of increasing the communication
service availability and reducing the communication
bills effectively.

Compatible to legacy PBX


As MPES-4 supports a series of user-configurable
parameters for FXS and FXO to fine tune, providing
remarkable flexibility and full interoperability with
existing legacy PBX, enterprise customers don't have
the need for removing existing facilities.

Speed dial

Speed dial is a good and useful feature which let
users to dial with the speed dial code instead of
the number of digits every time and MPES-4 allows
the user setting up to 99 speed dial numbers into
the list.

Localized dial plan
For the convenience of users, MPES-4 supplied users
with an application for localized dial plan which
makes users place landline calls through FreePP Outbound
service without changing the dial behavior.

Web-based management

MPES-4 offers a suite of simple management which
is based on a user-friendly Web Graphical User Interface
(GUI) and every management function is easy-to-configure.
Furthermore, the management interface supports remote
connection through the Internet.

Backup/Restore mechanism

Backup/Restore mechanism is an essential feature
for enterprise-class device to save or restore the
configuration settings. MPES-4 not only provides this,
but also makes it simpler and smarter for every administrator
to operate in Web-based management.

Call Detail Record

MPES-4 provides integrated call information which
will help users to view call history (including types,
called number, callee number, date, call duration,
etc) clearly in Web-based management.

Presence status

In order to check up the latest online status of
MPES-4 conveniently, the administrator can create
a nickname for the MPES-4 and add the ID of MPES-4
in contact list of FreePP Softphone.
