The P-560 Plus Hotspot Access Point
is a high-performance and highly integrated Access
Controller for public access networks. P-560 Plus
can serve up to 100 simultaneous users for authentication,
accounting and routing. The high-performance architecture
of the product enables scalable access solutions for
small venues like cafes and restaurants or medium
and large locations like hotels, hospitals or enterprises.
Multiple Authentication
Methods and Accounting
The P-560 Plus supports multiple secure authentication
methods from standard web browser login (Universal
Access Method), MAC authentication, to 802.1x/EAP
with passwords, certificates, SIM cards, POP3. The
integrated real-time accounting system is based on
standard RADIUS/EAP and supports various billing plans
from prepaid, pay-per-time, per-volume, per-use or
flat rate. P-560 Plus has been tested for interoperability
with various OSS/BSS systems providing either centralized
or decentralized access control.
Built-in AAA
with e-Billing and Pre-Paid
Advanced built-in AAA with e-Billing enable private
hotspot owner to setup a public access service without
any RADIUS Server. Hotspot owner can manage customers
with predefined access and billing plans for post-paid
subscribers. Both built-in accounts and Telco roaming
accounts are supported simultaneously.
Multiple BSSID
"Virtual AP" technology
P-560 Plus can create up to 16 Basic Service Sets(BSS)
on a single device. These basic service sets can be
looked as "virtual APs", and each can be
configured independently to support various security
policies, authentication methods, and RADIUS servers.
Backend Integration
The P-560 Plus is compliant to the recommendations
of the Wi-Fi Alliance 'Best Current Practices for
Wireless Internet Service Provider Roaming' (WISPr).
P-560 Plus has been tested for interoperability with
various leading RADIUS and Web application servers
(e.g. Funk, AirPath, WiFicom, iPass). For security
purposes all AAA and management traffic to the network
operation center can be tunneled and encrypted by
the internal VPN gateway.
Customizable
Login Pages
Service providers can benefit from the flexible web
redirection service. P-560 Plus provides a set of
location, browser, and user-specific information to
the backend system to enable value added personalized
services provided by the WISP. Detailed location information
is available via Https/XML interfaces. Web pages can
be either stored locally on the P-560 Plus or remotely
on a web portal server.
Zero Configuration
for Subscribers
P-560 Plus makes internet access very easy and user-friendly
for the end-user. Subscribers will be redirected to
the providers welcome page automatically regardless
of their PC configuration. The UAT (Universal Address
Translation) feature will accept and translate fixed
company IP settings and web proxy configurations -
so end-users do not have to reset their corporate
IP or web settings.
Remote Management
You can choose a variety of different management interfaces
to remotely configure, monitor, or update the P-560
Plus and the devices behind the controller. The P-560
Plus can be managed via SNMP, https, SSH or telnet. |
