What is the Dynamic Bridge
?
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|

Auto
discovery and auto configuration when installation
1.) No
complex manually configurations
2.) Increase bridge network
scalability
3.) Cut down the cost of
bridge network manual installation
Auto
recovery when the bridge link is failover
1.) Minimize
the lost of WLAN operation
2.) Seamless and minimize
perceptible interruption
3.) Cut down the cost of
going on-site to re-establish bridge link

Dynamic
Bridge Highlight
- Auto Discovery
1.) Non-root bridged APs survey
the nearby root bridged AP automatically when starting
up
2.) Collect the potential root bridged AP information,
including network ID and signal strength
- Auto Configuration
1.) Non-root bridged AP choose
the root AP with the same network ID
>> If multiple root APs have the same network
ID with the non-root AP, the root AP with the best
signal strength and least child nodes will be chosen.
2.) Non-root AP sets up egress bridge link with
the chosen root AP
- Auto Recovery
1.) Periodically monitor if
the remote peer is still alive, if not:
>> Root bridged AP: remove the bridge link
>> Non-root bridged AP: auto repeat the bridge
link setup process to choose another root bridged
AP for egress link
- Simple manually configuration
and maintenance
1.) Very few bridge parameters
are necessary to set manually
>> Network ID is necessary to set on both
root AP and non-root AP for setting up the bridge
network
>> If request security, security settings
are needed to be specified

 Dynamic
Bridge Mode - 1
- Point to Multiple Point
(only supports one hop)
1.) Root bridged AP: two RF
radios all act as bridge mode for more bridge links,
high performance and increasing reliability. The
Ethernet port is used for connecting backhaul
2.)Non-root bridged AP: one RF radio sets up egress
bridge link with root AP and the other is used for
accessing link with wireless clients
- Characteristics of PtMP
(only supports one hop)
1.) High reliability and high
performance
>> Some Root AP with same network ID can be
installed together
2.) Super quality can meet many applicationsˇ¦ request
even with only one hop
>> Large range for bridge links and large
access coverage
>> Super raw data rate(108Mbps on 5GHz)
>> Up to 16 bridge links supporting
3.) Bridging and accessing link simultaneously
>> Non-root AP acts as egress bridge link
and AP access link at the same time
>> No extra AP devices are needed
4.) Easy installation and maintenance and high scalability

 Dynamic
Bridge Mode - 2
- Point to Multiple Point
(support multiple hops) ˇV next version
1.) Root AP: two RF radios both
act as bridge mode
2.) non-root AP: two RF radios both for bridge links,
one for egress link and the other for ingress link
3.) Extra simple AP device for wireless accessing
link
- The characteristics of PtMP
(support multiple hops) ˇV next version
1.) High reliability and high
performance
>> Different and non-overlapping channels
for ingress and egress links
>> Some Root AP with same network ID can be
installed together
2.) Multiple hops makes setting up network more
flexible
>> Multiple hops solve NLOS issue if there
are barriers between two bridge peer
>> The wireless repeater concept is used for
wireless bridging larger distance
3.) Only have bridge link
>> Extra simple AP is needed for accessing
link
4.) Easy installation and maintenance and high scalability

Customers
1.) Enterprise/Campus/Hospital
>> Building to building
links (PtP , PtMP)
>> Large enterprise,
campus wireless coverage
2.) Telco, ISP, SI
>> Aggregate multiple
local links into backbone, suitable for city areas
and rural areas
3.) Government city coverage,
rural areas coverage
